Summary
Connecticut Medicaid is updating CMAP Addendum B with 2024 HCPCS coding changes effective October 1, 2024, and implementing new ICD-10 codes (371 new surgical codes, 252 new diagnosis codes) that will cause inpatient claims to suspend until the new DRG grouper is installed at the end of October. Payment rates for procedures with status indicators G or K were already updated in the system on September 27, 2024.
Action Required
Immediately: Expect inpatient claims with service dates October 1, 2024 and forward to suspend with EOB codes 0693 or 0920 until the new 3M DRG grouper is loaded at the end of October - no action needed as claims will automatically recycle for processing. Monitor for the updated CMAP Addendum B posting at end of October on www.ctdssmap.com Hospital Modernization page to identify new, deleted, or rate-changed procedure codes marked with 'New', 'X', or 'G or K' indicators.
