Connecticut Substance Use Disorder (SUD) ambulatory providers with level 1 or level 2 certification must upload their certification letters through the secure web portal by November 14, 2024. The policy also reinforces that SUD diagnosis must be in primary position when billing for SUD IOP, SUD PHP, or Ambulatory Withdrawal Management services.

Action Required

Action needed
By November 14, 2024: SUD ambulatory providers with level 1 or level 2 certification must log into www.ctdssmap.com, navigate to Demographic Maintenance > Provider Certification, and upload their certification letter with exact effective and end dates from their certification letter. Providers with one-year conditional certification must upload before submitting any claims after seeing their first Medicaid client. Billing team must ensure SUD diagnosis is always listed in primary position on claims for SUD IOP, SUD PHP, or Ambulatory Withdrawal Management services. Failure to upload certification will prevent claim processing.
