Summary
The Connecticut Department of Social Services has updated the DRG Calculator with new DRG weights, average length of stays, outlier thresholds, and hospital reimbursement rates effective for discharges on or after January 1, 2026. The updated calculator also includes new behavioral health and rehabilitation per diem rates for the same timeframe.
Action Required
Before January 1, 2026: Billing team must download the updated DRG Calculator from the Hospital Modernization Web Page at ctdssmap.com. Update billing systems with new DRG weights, ALOS values, outlier thresholds, and adjusted base rates. Update behavioral health and rehabilitation per diem rates in system. Verify hospital-specific IME factors and cost-to-charge ratios are current in the Provider Table CT tab.
