Summary
Outpatient hospitals with level 1 or level 2 certifications must upload their certification letters through the secure web portal by February 28, 2025. Additionally, when billing for substance use disorder (SUD) treatments, providers must list an SUD diagnosis in the primary position on claims.
Action Required
By February 28, 2025: Outpatient hospital providers with level 1 or level 2 certifications must log into www.ctdssmap.com, navigate to Demographic Maintenance > Provider Certification, and upload their certification letter with exact effective and end dates for each AVRS ID. Billing team must ensure all SUD IOP, SUD PHP, or Ambulatory Withdrawal Management claims have an SUD diagnosis in the primary position. Providers with one-year conditional certification must upload before submitting any Medicaid claims after seeing their first Medicaid client.
