We identified it

Summary
Connecticut Medicaid (CMAP) is implementing stricter Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) validation on March 31, 2025, which will reject claims files for X12 non-compliance errors that were previously accepted. Healthcare providers must verify their clearinghouses and billing vendors are aware of this change and have updated contact information in the CMAP system.
Action Required
Before March 31, 2025: Billing team must contact their clearinghouse/billing vendor to confirm they are aware of the new EDI validation requirements and have updated their CMAP trading partner contact information. Review current EDI submissions for common errors including leading zeros in control numbers, non-unique transaction numbers, P.O. Box addresses in billing provider fields, improper zip code formatting, and zero-amount adjustment segments. If you are a direct EDI submitter, log into www.ctdssmap.com with your Trading Partner ID to update contact information. Failure to comply will result in claim file rejections starting March 31, 2025.
