Summary
Connecticut Medicaid providers must notify DSS of any ownership changes (including stock sales, board changes, or ownership changes of 5% or greater) PRIOR to the change occurring. Failure to notify in advance will result in claims recoupment and denial for the period between the change and notification.
Action Required
Immediately: Any practice undergoing ownership changes must notify DSS Enrollment and Quality Assurance BEFORE the change occurs by emailing ctproviderenrollment@gainwelltechnologies.com and Nicole.Sinisgalli@ct.gov. For non-LTC providers, new ownership must complete new provider enrollment application, obtain new NPI, and provide notarized letter from previous ownership. Failure to notify prior to change will result in claims recoupment and denial during the transition period.
