Summary
Starting June 1, 2025, Connecticut Medicaid Third Party Liability (TPL) audit letters and reports will be delivered electronically through the Secure Web portal instead of USPS mail for providers with portal accounts. Providers must regularly check their portal and email notifications to avoid missing audits that could result in claim recoupments.
Action Required
Before June 1, 2025: Connecticut providers must ensure they have an active Secure Web portal account and current email address on file. Billing team should establish a process to regularly check the portal under Trade Files > Download > E-Delivery for TPL audit notifications and download both audit letters and corresponding reports (TPL Crossover Audit Rpt or TPL Audit Report). Check spam folders regularly for email notifications. Failure to respond to audits will result in claim recoupments.
