Summary
Effective July 1, 2025, HUSKY B (Connecticut CHIP) will eliminate the $100 eyeglass and $1000 hearing aid allowances and instead reimburse providers in full up to fee schedule amounts. Members will no longer have cost-sharing responsibilities for these services.
Action Required
Before July 1, 2025: Billing team must verify claims processing system is updated to process HUSKY B eyeglass and hearing aid claims for full reimbursement amounts (no patient responsibility). Update patient financial counseling scripts to inform HUSKY B members they will have no out-of-pocket costs for eyeglasses and hearing aids. No changes needed to claim submission processes.
