Summary
Connecticut DSS will increase reimbursement rates for free-standing chronic disease hospitals effective July 1, 2025. New chronic disease hospitals will initially be reimbursed at the lowest existing rate, then rebased to 75% of cost after their second month following Medicare cost report submission.

No immediate action required for most practices. Only billing teams working with free-standing chronic disease hospitals in Connecticut should monitor the State Plan Amendment SPA 25-AL for final rate schedules and update billing systems with new reimbursement rates before July 1, 2025.
