Connecticut Medicaid (HUSKY Health) is changing prior authorization requirements for physical, occupational, and speech therapy services effective August 1, 2025. By August 1, 2025: Update prior authorization workflows for Connecticut Medicaid therapy services to include new documentation requirements. For members under 21, obtain school-based service attestation or IEP documentation. Ensure all PA requests include initial evaluation, treatment plan, rehabilitation potential, and for reauthorizations add minimum 4 treatment notes. Incomplete requests will be cancelled and must be resubmitted as new requests.
