Summary
Starting February 1, 2026, all behavioral health providers at FQHCs must be enrolled in Connecticut's Medical Assistance Program and have their NPI associated with the clinic for HUSKY Health claims to be paid. Claims will be denied if performing provider NPIs are missing or not properly associated.
Action Required
By February 1, 2026: All behavioral health providers at FQHCs must enroll in Connecticut Medical Assistance Program (CMAP) using the Gainwell Technologies Provider Enrollment Wizard at www.ctdssmap.com. Billing team must ensure all performing provider NPIs are included on claims and properly associated with the FQHC. Use the November 1, 2025 - January 30, 2026 'post and pay' period to verify all providers are enrolled and associated. Claims submitted after February 1, 2026 without valid performing provider NPIs will be denied.
