Summary
The Connecticut Medicaid (CMAP) secure web portal will require new password standards starting April 21, 2026. All users must create passwords that are 15-30 characters long with specific complexity requirements when prompted to reset after the effective date.
Action Required
Before April 21, 2026: All staff with CMAP web portal access (master users, local administrators, and clerks) must prepare for mandatory password reset. When prompted after April 21, 2026, create new passwords that are 15-30 characters long, don't start with a number, and include at least 3 of 4 character types (upper case, lower case, numbers, special characters). Update security questions with answers that aren't easily guessed or found on social media. Failure to comply will prevent access to the portal for Connecticut Medicaid billing and eligibility verification.
