Summary

Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must stop using CPT anesthesia codes (00100-01999) for New Jersey Medicaid claims. Switch to HCPCS codes with AA modifier on NJ claim forms. Convert anesthesia time to 15-minute units and enter in field F. Do not add base units to field F as system will calculate automatically. Submit new NJ claim forms directly to fiscal agent with EOB attached for crossover claims. Failure to follow new format will result in suspended or denied claims.
