Immediately: Update billing system to use new HCPCS codes 11975, 11976, and 11977 for Norplant System services instead of discontinued W-codes. For office settings, use modifier R5 when billing for kit costs. For hospital settings, do not bill for the kit cost as hospitals will be reimbursed directly. Stop using codes W22 and W23 for dates of service after July 31st as these claims will be denied.
