Summary
Texas Health and Human Services Commission has launched a new web-based system called STEPS for financial compliance reporting, replacing the old system. Primary Entity Contacts must register in STEPS with matching email addresses from their PEMS account, and are responsible for assigning financial contacts and certifying reports for fiscal year 2025.
Action Required
Before July 20, 2026: Primary Entity Contact must verify their email address in PEMS matches the email they will use to register in STEPS system. Contact HHSC at 1-737-86-STEPS if email addresses don't match. Register for STEPS access as soon as possible to prepare for fiscal year 2025 financial compliance reporting.
