Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: Billing team must update pharmacy system to DENY reimbursement for all drugs manufactured by American Pharmaceutical Co and Logen Pharmaceuticals in New Jersey Medicaid claims. Add these manufacturers to the non-covered/non-reimbursable list in billing software. Verify that claims from the 6 newly added manufacturers (AP Pharmaceuticals Inc, Keene Pharmaceuticals, Harmony Laboratories, Liquipharm Inc, Accumed Pharmaceuticals, Optimum Pharmaceuticals Inc) are now eligible for Medicaid reimbursement. Notify providers and pharmacy staff of the deleted manufacturers to prevent claim denials. Claims for deleted manufacturers will be automatically denied by Medicaid; manual appeal may be required for previously submitted claims.
