The existing MEDQ and MEIQ systems will be terminated on June 30, 1996, requiring hospitals to transition to alternative eligibility verification methods.

By June 30, 1996: Hospitals using MEDQ and MEIQ applications must transition to alternative eligibility verification methods. Contact existing MEVS vendors to confirm contract status under the expanded system. For new MEVS subscriptions, contact Office of Beneficiary and Provider Services at (609) 588-2933 for approved vendor list. Evaluate vendor criteria including equipment needs, costs, training, and support before contracting.
