Summary
Three pharmaceutical manufacturers (American Urologicals Inc., F.A. Mitchell Company Inc., and Ion Labs Inc.) have been terminated from the New Jersey Medicaid and NJ KidCare drug rebate programs effective April 1, 1998. Drugs manufactured by these companies will no longer be reimbursed by these programs.
Action Required
By April 1, 1998: Billing team must update pharmacy billing system to deny or redirect claims for drugs manufactured by Labeler Codes 00539 (American Urologicals, Inc.), 10770 (F.A. Mitchell Company, Inc.), and 55532 (Ion Labs, Inc.) when submitted to New Jersey Medicaid or NJ KidCare programs. Notify pharmaceutical suppliers and providers in New Jersey of these manufacturers' removal from the rebate program. Claims for these manufacturers' drugs submitted to Medicaid/NJ KidCare after this date will be denied. Note: PAAD drug rebate program coverage may differ—verify coverage separately for PAAD beneficiaries.
