Summary
For dual-eligible beneficiaries (Medicare + Medicaid/NJ KidCare), New Jersey Medicaid will limit payments for Medicare Part B services to only the deductible and coinsurance amounts, and only up to what Medicaid would normally pay for the same service. This affects how much secondary payment providers can expect from NJ Medicaid.

By July 20, 1998: Billing team must update expectations for NJ Medicaid secondary payments on dual-eligible patients. Verify that secondary Medicaid payments will be limited to Medicare deductible/coinsurance amounts and cannot exceed standard Medicaid fee allowances.
