Summary
New Jersey PAAD program has retroactively activated three manufacturer labeler codes (McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Carlsbad Technology, and InterMune Pharmaceuticals) effective May-June 1999. Providers must resubmit previously denied claims for dates of service on or after the activation dates for these manufacturers' drugs.
Action Required
By January 2000: Billing team must identify and resubmit any claims denied between May 28, 1999 and September 8, 1999 for pharmaceutical products from the three activated manufacturers (McNeil Consumer Healthcare labeler code 50580, Carlsbad Technology labeler code 61442, InterMune Pharmaceuticals labeler code 64116) to Unisys. Update pharmacy billing system to recognize these labeler codes as active in the PAAD program.
