Summary
New Jersey Medicaid updated their Prospective Drug Utilization Review (PDUR) program with changes to maximum daily dosage standards for rabeprazole and zaleplon, deleted certain therapeutic duplication conflicts, and limited Synagis injection coverage to children under 2 years old.
Action Required
By August 1, 2000: Pharmacy and billing staff must update systems to reflect new maximum daily dosage limits for rabeprazole (60mg for all ages) and zaleplon (20mg ages 18-65, 10mg over 65). Remove therapeutic duplication alerts for Cisapride/Proton Pump Inhibitors, Buspirone/Benzodiazepines, and Trazodone/SSRIs combinations.
