Summary
New Jersey DMAHS is postponing the implementation of Third Party Liability (TPL) and Medicare drug coverage policy changes for Medicaid prescription drugs. The postponement delays the effective date from September 1, 2000 to October 1, 2000 for pharmacy claims. This applies to Medicaid fee-for-service only and does not affect the PAAD program.
Action Required
By October 1, 2000: Billing team must update pharmacy billing system to implement TPL and Medicare drug coverage policy changes for Medicaid claims with service dates on or after this date. Failure to implement by the effective date may result in claim processing delays or denials.
