Summary
Two drug manufacturers (First Horizon Pharmaceutical Corporation and Trigen Laboratories) have been added to the New Jersey PAAD (Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled) Drug Rebate Program. Providers must recognize these new manufacturer labeler codes (59630 and 59746) for accurate drug rebate processing and claims submission under the PAAD program.
Action Required
By September 30, 2000: Pharmacy billing staff must update internal drug rebate reference materials to include the two newly added manufacturers: First Horizon Pharmaceutical Corporation (Labeler Code 59630, effective 08/07/00) and Trigen Laboratories (Labeler Code 59746, effective 03/24/00). Update pharmacy billing software or manual lookup tables used for PAAD drug rebate program processing. Note that Medicaid and PAAD drug rebate programs have separate coverage lists based on manufacturer participation—do not assume coverage in one program means coverage in the other. Staff should reference these updated codes when processing PAAD claims.
