By September 2001 (retroactive effective July 13, 2001): Billing team must update pharmacy records and billing system to remove Labeler Code 11845 (Mason Vitamins, Inc.) from PAAD-covered formulary. Communicate with pharmacy staff and providers to cease dispensing Mason Vitamins products under PAAD coverage. Direct affected PAAD patients to alternative vitamin products covered by the program or to Senior Gold Prescription Discount program. Verify any claims submitted for Mason Vitamins after July 13, 2001 and resubmit with alternative products or patient paid out-of-pocket. Note: This change does NOT affect Medicaid or Senior Gold programs.
