Summary
ValueOptions has been contracted as the Contracted Systems Administrator (CSA) for New Jersey's Children's System of Care Initiative (CSOCI) effective January 15, 2002. Providers enrolled in Medicaid/NJ FamilyCare/CSOCI programs must be aware that ValueOptions will manage technical, administrative, and care utilization functions for CSOCI services, but billing submissions continue to be sent to Unisys (the fiscal agent). This is an administrative/operational notification, not a billing code or reimbursement change.
Action Required
By January 15, 2002: Billing and provider teams should note that ValueOptions is now the CSA for CSOCI services in New Jersey. No immediate billing workflow changes are required. Maintain current billing submission procedures to Unisys as the fiscal agent. Store the CSOCI Directory (included in newsletter) with contact information for ValueOptions (609-689-6200 or 1-877-652-7624) and regional Care Management Organizations for reference. If questions arise about CSOCI eligibility, care coordination, or system functions, contact ValueOptions directly rather than DHS divisions. This is informational; no system updates or prior authorization changes are mandated by this notice.
