Summary
Effective July 1, 2002, Medicaid is terminating round-trip procedure codes Y0060 and Y0065 for mobility assistance vehicle (MAV) services. Providers must now bill each leg of a round trip separately using one-way codes A0130 and Y0070 on separate claim lines.
Action Required
By July 1, 2002: Billing team must stop using codes Y0060 and Y0065 for round-trip MAV services. Replace Y0060 with two separate claim lines using A0130, and replace Y0065 with two separate claim lines using Y0070. Remember to reverse origin and destination codes in Item 17.H for the return leg and use modifier 76 for same-day repeat services.
