Summary

New Jersey has updated its Medicaid and NJ FamilyCare Drug Rebate Programs by adding 4 new pharmaceutical manufacturer labeler codes and removing 3 existing codes. Drugs from deleted manufacturers (3M Pharmaceuticals and PTS Labs) will no longer be reimbursed by these programs starting July 1, 2002.

By July 1, 2002: Pharmacy billing teams must update their systems to recognize new manufacturer labeler codes (52238, 64054, 66825, 66869) for Medicaid/NJ FamilyCare claims. Remove deleted labeler codes (21200, 51131, 65005) from billing systems as drugs from 3M Pharmaceuticals and PTS Labs will no longer be reimbursed. Verify alternative drug options for affected medications.
