Summary

New Jersey Medicaid has implemented a new REVS/MEVS message system (Service Package E) to identify children enrolled in the Children's System of Care Initiative (CSOCI). All mental health services for CSOCI-enrolled children must be coordinated by a Care Management Organization (CMO) and included in an Individual Service Plan.

Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: Billing team must verify CSOCI enrollment for all children receiving mental health services before rendering care. Check eligibility via REVS at 1-800-676-6562, MEVS vendor, or examine cards for Service Package E reference. All CSOCI mental health services must be CMO-coordinated and included in Individual Service Plan or claims will be denied. Update workflow to verify eligibility every visit, even for existing patients.
