Summary
New Jersey PAAD (Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled) program has added Pharmelle, LLC (Labeler Code 66663) to its manufacturers' list effective 9/16/02. Providers must recognize this manufacturer code when processing PAAD prescriptions to ensure proper drug rebate program coverage and claims processing.
Action Required
By September 16, 2002: Billing and pharmacy teams must update their systems to recognize Pharmelle, LLC (Labeler Code 66663) as a PAAD-participating manufacturer. Ensure claims processing system and pharmacy software include this manufacturer code in PAAD drug rebate validation logic. This affects only New Jersey PAAD claims. No action required if your practice does not serve New Jersey PAAD beneficiaries. Failure to recognize this manufacturer code may result in claims being incorrectly flagged as non-covered under the PAAD program.
