Immediately: All providers submitting electronic claims to New Jersey Medicaid must download the HIPAA Companion Guide from www.njmmis.com and review compliance requirements. Billing team must update claim submission processes and software to conform to HIPAA transaction set standards for all State and Federal programs processed through Unisys MMIS. For providers without internet access, contact Unisys Provider Services at 800-776-6334 to request a paper copy. Non-compliance will result in claim rejections.
