Summary
New Jersey Medicaid will continue reimbursing drug clinics and FQHCs for methadone maintenance services for WFNJ/GA beneficiaries during transition to the Substance Abuse Initiative. Providers should assist beneficiaries in transitioning to WFNJ SAI and are encouraged to request payment through SAI rather than Medicaid.
Action Required
Immediately: Drug clinics and FQHCs should contact WFNJ SAI regional offices to assist WFNJ/GA beneficiaries in transitioning to the Substance Abuse Initiative. Identify eligible beneficiaries by county codes '01'-'21' in first two positions of Recipient ID, '70' in positions 3-4, and plan designation 'G' on Medicaid card. Encourage payment requests through SAI rather than Medicaid for methadone maintenance services.
