Summary
Effective April 1, 2003, prior authorization for Partial Care, Partial Hospital, and Programs of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) providers located in Bergen County, New Jersey will transfer from Hudson MACC to Passaic MACC. Billing teams must update routing procedures and contact information for prior authorization requests from Bergen County providers.
Action Required
By March 31, 2003: Billing team must update internal procedures and routing systems to direct all prior authorization requests for Partial Care, Partial Hospital, and PACT providers located in Bergen County to Passaic MACC (66 Hamilton Street, Paterson, NJ 07505-2021; 973-977-4077; Fax: 973-684-8182) instead of Hudson MACC. Update staff contact lists and prior authorization submission protocols. All other Bergen County provider types and providers outside Bergen County continue using their current MACC. Failure to route to the correct MACC may delay prior authorization approvals and claim processing.
