Summary
This policy adds two new pharmaceutical manufacturers to the New Jersey PAAD (Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled) Drug Rebate Program. Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Labeler Code 66435) is effective 4/18/03, and Reddy Pharmaceutical (Labeler Code 67857) is effective 5/07/03. Billing teams must recognize these manufacturers' products as eligible for PAAD coverage starting on their respective effective dates.
Action Required
By May 7, 2003: Billing team and pharmacy staff must update systems to recognize Manufacturers' Labeler Codes 66435 (Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals) and 67857 (Reddy Pharmaceutical) as eligible participants in the New Jersey PAAD drug rebate program. Update internal pharmacy reference materials and claims processing software to ensure claims for these manufacturers' legend drugs, diabetic testing supplies, and insulin submitted by PAAD-eligible patients are processed correctly. No claims from these manufacturers should be denied due to non-participation as of their effective dates.
