Summary
New Jersey Medicaid and NJ FamilyCare will no longer accept local procedure code Y9637 effective April 1, 2004, with no replacement code available. This code has been deleted entirely from the accepted billing codes.
Action Required
By April 1, 2004: Billing team must remove local procedure code Y9637 from billing system and encounter forms as it will no longer be accepted by New Jersey Medicaid and NJ FamilyCare. Update billing software to reject this code. Claims submitted with this code will be denied.
