Summary
New Jersey PAAD (Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled) program has added Pack Pharmaceuticals, LLC (Labeler Code 16571) to its Drug Rebate Program manufacturers list. Billing teams must recognize this manufacturer code when processing PAAD prescription claims to ensure proper rebate application and claim adjudication effective May 8, 2006.
Action Required
By May 8, 2006: Billing team must update pharmacy billing system to recognize Pack Pharmaceuticals, LLC (Labeler Code 16571) as an approved PAAD rebate program manufacturer. Update any internal manufacturer reference lists or pharmacy claim submission rules in the billing software to include this new labeler code. No claims will be rejected, but proper rebate processing requires system recognition of this manufacturer. Coordinate with pharmacy staff to ensure they are aware of this addition for internal reference. If this practice has not already done so, retain this newsletter in the policy manual for reference.
