Billing teams must recognize these newly added manufacturer labeler codes when processing PAAD prescriptions to ensure proper claim adjudication and rebate application.

Action Required

Action needed
By December 2006: Billing and pharmacy teams must update pharmacy system records to recognize the following newly added PAAD manufacturer labeler codes: 59746 (Jubilant Pharmaceuticals, Inc. - effective 5/26/06), 16477 and 68134 (Laser Pharmaceuticals, LLC - effective 6/02/06), 62559 (ANI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. - effective 5/31/06), 10148 (CoTherix, Inc. - effective 6/06/06), 13107 (Aurobindo Pharma USA, Inc. - effective 6/09/06), and 00414 (Perrigo Pharmaceuticals, Co. - effective 7/28/06). Update claim submission logic to properly apply drug rebates for products from these manufacturers when billing PAAD claims. Verify that pharmacy dispensing and billing software correctly identifies these labeler codes to prevent claim denials. Contact NJ Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services at (609) 588-2724 or Unisys Provider Services at (800) 776-6334 with questions.
