Summary
New Jersey Medicaid is surveying eligible professionals (dentists, physicians, podiatrists, APNs, CNMs, chiropractors, optometrists, and clinics) to assess current electronic health record and health information technology utilization. Qualified providers meeting Medicaid/NJ FamilyCare fee-for-service beneficiary volume thresholds may be eligible to receive up to $63,750 in incentive funding for EHR implementation under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
Action Required
By June 21, 2010 at noon: Dentists and eligible professionals (physicians, podiatrists, APNs, CNMs, chiropractors, optometrists, clinics) must complete and submit the NJ State Medicaid Health Information Technology Project (SMHP) Eligible Professional Survey online. Dentists use the dental survey link; all other providers use the general survey link provided. If questions arise, contact Julie Leung at 1-484-654-2032. Completion is critical for the State to accurately assess HIT utilization and determine incentive fund allocation. This is informational; no billing workflow changes are required.
