Summary
New Jersey establishes an Interim Management Entity (IME) for substance abuse services effective July 1, 2015. Providers must affiliate with Rutgers UBHC, submit claims to appropriate fiscal agents (Molina for Medicaid, CSC for state-funded), and obtain prior authorization starting January 1, 2016.
Action Required
By January 1, 2016: Substance abuse providers must complete IME Affiliation Agreement with DMHAS, enroll with appropriate fiscal agents (Molina for NJFC/Medicaid claims, CSC for state-funded claims), and obtain prior authorization through UBHC call center at 1-844-276-2777. Update billing workflows to verify patient eligibility through REVS/eMEVS/MEVS and submit claims to correct fiscal agent to avoid duplicate payment recovery.
