Action Required

Action needed
By November 3, 2025: Providers billing for doula services in Ohio should register for and attend the virtual technical assistance training (2:00-3:30 p.m.) hosted by CareSource and ODM to ensure compliance with Medicaid managed care billing rules. Billing team should review the new MISP Services Overview and Billing Guidelines document on ODM's Maternal and Infant Support webpage to understand proper documentation and billing requirements for doula services and other MISP services. Immediately: Distribute ODM's new Moms and Babies Resource fact sheet to pregnant and postpartum Medicaid members to inform them of available services. Update billing procedures based on guidance in the revised MISP Services Overview and Billing Guidelines to avoid claim denials for improper documentation or non-compliance with Medicaid managed care rules.
