Summary
CareSource is transitioning dental coverage in Ohio from DentaQuest and SkyGen to Delta Dental for all Ohio Medicaid and Medicare+Medicaid (D-SNP/FIDE) products, effective January 1, 2026. Billing teams must update payer IDs, route claims correctly, and manage the runout period for legacy claims through December 31, 2026.
Action Required
By December 31, 2025: (1) Billing team must update billing system to use new payer IDs—use CSDENMCD2 for CareSource OH Dental Medicaid claims and CSDENFIDE2 for CareSource OH Dental FIDE claims with service dates on or after 01/01/2026. (2) Update system logic to continue routing claims with service dates on or before 12/31/2025 to DentaQuest/SkyGen through 12/31/2026 (runout period). (3) Configure One Front Door routing for all Ohio Next Generation MyCare FIDE SNP dental claims per ODM requirements. (4) Verify dental providers are enrolled in Delta Dental's Ohio Community Care Network by contacting 1-800-656-6495; update in-house provider directory. (5) Prior authorization and in-progress treatment plans will transfer automatically, but flag any out-of-network providers requiring continuity of care exceptions. (6) Update claim submission workflows and staff training on new vendor transition. Failure to use correct payer IDs or routing will result in claim denials or misdirection.
