Summary
New Jersey Medicaid is terminating the per diem telehealth payment code H0035GTUC for partial care and partial hospital mental health services effective August 15, 2022. After this date, providers must bill for actual hours of service using H0035UC or appropriate revenue codes instead of the per diem rate.
Action Required
By August 15, 2022: Billing team must stop using per diem telehealth code H0035GTUC for partial care/partial hospital services. Update billing system to use H0035UC or appropriate revenue codes for each full hour of therapeutic time instead of per diem billing. Train staff on new billing requirements for telehealth mental health services. Claims with dates of service after August 15, 2022 using H0035GTUC will be denied.
