Summary

New Jersey Medicaid providers using Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) through HHAeXchange must implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for portal access. This affects home health, personal care assistant services, and developmental disabilities providers who must add an additional security layer requiring username, password, and a system-generated code.

Action Required

Action needed
By September 2022: Home health and personal care providers must set up Multi-Factor Authentication in HHAeXchange portal when notified by the vendor. Follow the HHAeXchange MFA Job Aide to configure MFA at user level. Contact njsupport@hhaexchange.com for technical issues. Failure to implement MFA will prevent access to EVV portal for required visit verification.
