Summary
New Jersey requires all BA/IIC service providers to complete state-administered fingerprint background checks instead of private company checks, effective immediately. Current staff with private checks are grandfathered until February 28, 2025, and all staff requiring patient transportation must provide driver's license attestations.
Action Required
By February 28, 2025: BA/IIC agencies must transition all grandfathered staff to state fingerprint background checks through ECCU. Immediately: Submit driver's license attestations for all staff who transport patients to CSOC, and use only state-administered background checks for new hires. Contact IICprovider.Communications@dcf.nj.gov to request background checks. Failure to comply will result in non-reimbursement and potential Medicaid Fraud Division referral.
