Summary
The Missouri Tobacco Quitline has temporarily suspended Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) distribution due to reaching maximum funding, but MO HealthNet participants can still receive NRT through their healthcare providers as it remains a covered benefit. Alternative smoking cessation services including telephone coaching, web-based support, and text messaging continue to be available through the Quitline.

Immediately: Inform MO HealthNet patients seeking smoking cessation that NRT is still covered through healthcare providers despite Quitline suspension. Update patient education materials to reference alternative Quitline services (phone: 1-800-784-8669, web coaching, text support).
