Provider-based Rural Health Clinics can no longer bill MO HealthNet Division for technical components of laboratory, radiology, and EKG services under their RHC NPI. They must use an active non-RHC NPI and follow the standard MHD fee schedule for these technical components.
Action Required
Immediately: Rural Health Clinic billing teams must stop billing MO HealthNet Division using RHC NPI for technical components of laboratory, radiology, and EKG services. Enroll for a non-RHC NPI if not already active, or use existing active non-RHC NPI. Update billing system to use non-RHC NPI for these technical components and ensure performing provider NPI field is completed on all claims. Claims billed incorrectly under RHC NPI will not be reimbursed properly.
