Summary
Missouri Medicaid will not backdate provider enrollment applications prior to the date they received the application, except for out-of-state emergency services. Providers can only be enrolled up to a maximum of 365 days prior to actual enrollment date.
Action Required
Immediately: Ensure all Missouri Medicaid provider enrollment applications are submitted before providing services. Do not expect backdating of enrollment effective dates. For questions about MO HealthNet enrollment, contact MMAC.ProviderEnrollment@dss.mo.gov. Claims will be denied if services are provided before enrollment effective date.
