Summary
Effective November 1, 2021, MO HealthNet (Missouri Medicaid) now covers at-home COVID-19 tests through their pharmacy benefit when prescribed by a MO HealthNet provider. Reimbursement will be the lesser of the MAC rate plus dispensing fee or the provider's usual and customary charge.
Action Required
Immediately: Providers can prescribe covered at-home COVID-19 tests for MO HealthNet patients. Billing team must ensure tests are prescribed by MO HealthNet providers and submit through pharmacy benefit system. Use appropriate NDC codes for the five covered test types with their respective MAC pricing limits.
