Immediately: Providers treating Missouri Medicaid patients for obesity must enroll as Biopsychosocial Treatment of Obesity providers at https://peu.momed.com/peu/momed/presentation/commongui/PeHome.jsp. Billing team must ensure prior authorization is obtained by calling 800-392-8030 option 7 or using CyberAccess before any biopsychosocial obesity treatment begins. Both medical nutrition therapy and behavioral health counseling must be provided together - authorization will not be granted for either component alone.
