Summary
Franciscan Health Network/Franciscan Alliance is exiting the CareSource Indiana Medicaid network effective May 31, 2026. All CareSource members currently assigned to Franciscan providers will be automatically reassigned to other in-network providers. The billing team must update patient records and referral processes to redirect all Medicaid claims away from Franciscan locations after this date.
Action Required
By May 31, 2026: Billing team must (1) identify all active CareSource Medicaid patients (HIP and Hoosier Healthwise plans) assigned to Franciscan Health Network/Franciscan Alliance providers in the billing system; (2) update patient records and referral lists to reflect new PMP assignments using CareSource's Find a Doctor tool or Member Services; (3) configure billing system to reject or reroute any claims submitted to Franciscan facilities for CareSource Medicaid patients after the effective date; (4) notify front desk and scheduling staff to stop booking new appointments at Franciscan locations for these patients; (5) send patient notifications informing them of their reassignment and new provider information.
