Summary
Effective May 12, 2023, MO HealthNet will discontinue COVID-19 telehealth flexibilities, requiring providers to have established patient relationships and be fully licensed in Missouri to provide telehealth services. Telephone-based telehealth services and billing from alternate sites will continue to be allowed.
Action Required
By May 12, 2023: Billing team must verify all telehealth providers are fully licensed in Missouri and have established patient relationships before scheduling telehealth appointments. Update telehealth scheduling protocols to screen for these requirements. Non-compliant telehealth services will not be reimbursable after this date.
